The short version
The app collects nothing. The website only collects your email address if you choose to submit it — to notify you when Context Bank launches. That's it.
Data storage
All your context cards, categories, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use Apple's iCloud sync.
iCloud sync
If enabled, your data syncs across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not operate any servers and have no access to your CloudKit data.
Analytics and tracking
None. Zero. We do not use any analytics frameworks, tracking pixels, crash reporters, or telemetry of any kind. We do not know who you are, what you store, or how you use the app.
Email notification
If you enter your email address on our website to be notified when Context Bank launches, we store your email solely for that one-time notification. After notifying you, we will offer you the option to join a mailing list. If you decline, your email is deleted. We will never sell, share, or use your email for any other purpose.
Third-party services
Context Bank the app uses no third-party services, SDKs, or APIs. The app is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks.
Clipboard access
Context Bank writes to your device clipboard when you tap a card to copy its contents. The app does not read your clipboard without your explicit action (such as the "Paste from Clipboard" feature in the card editor). Clipboard data is never transmitted anywhere.
Children's privacy
Context Bank does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no accounts, no data collection, and no age-gated content.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update this page. Given our commitment to zero data collection, meaningful changes are unlikely.
